Vlingo App Review

Do you want to have an app like the amazing Siri on the iPhone 4S, but you have Android? There’s this new app called Vlingo, and it’s available for free in the Android and iOS App Store. It can do many things like send messages, call someone, find restaurants, find jobs, and much more! When it can’t understand what you’re saying it searches the web. It’s really nice and I found it really accurate. I think it’s much better than the stock Android voice commands. Again, this app is free in the Android Market and in the iOS App Store. I would recommend this app to anyone looking for a nice voice control 3rd party app like Siri. If I was going to rate this on a scale from 1 through 10, I would rate this app because the developers of this application must fix some bugs.

Saving Money On Cell Phone Service

If you are thinking about saving money on your cell phone service, then this article is for you. I would recommend cutting down on services like unlimited texting and minutes. But if you don’t want to cut down and want everything unlimited for less with no contract you should go with prepaid. Go Phone is a cheap pre-paid cell phone. You don’t get billed monthly, and you just buy the card that they sell in many stores to refill the minutes. The phone will be active for 60 days if you don’t refill.

Mac VS PC

Now I know there is a lot of debate about which OS is better. For some the best Operating System is Microsoft Windows. And for others it is Mac OS. Now there is a lot of things each can do and there is a lot the other can’t do. For instance Windows doesn’t have “Hot Corners” as Apple calls them. Now for Windows anybody could put Windows on a machine. But Apple only lets you put Mac OS on a Macintosh Computer. You can build a “Hackintosh” and have your computer run like crud or you could get a Windows computer and have the exact same hardware and system and have it run better and as smooth as butter. So which is better you may say. Well that depends what you are going to do with the computer. If you are going to be doing a lot of video editing (which is what I do) I would recommend a Macintosh. Mainly because a Mac has a wide range of Video Editing software like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, iMovie and many other smaller ones. I personally use a Mac for all of my video editing needs. Now you’re saying what is Windows good for. Thousands of thing just like a Mac. Windows has many of the applications that I mentioned for video editing. They even have a few more. (Except they don’t have FCP) But they have Sony Vegas something the Mac doesn’t have.

Matt’s Macintosh did a few great videos on Technobuffalo about 2 years ago I will link those here:

How To Save Money On Keyboard/Mouse Batteries

I would recommend to people who have wireless keyboards and mice to use rechargeable batteries, as these devices tend to eat up power. Using rechargeable batteries saves the environment and your wallet, as you will rarely have to buy new batteries! This is a great way to save money on batteries.
